This illustrated lecture outlines the historical background of the main exhibition theme - blue - in cross-cultural contexts. It gives an introductory view to the exhibition concept and features some highlights from the objects and works of paper on display. Dr. Yuka Kadoi studied Islamic art at the University of Edinburgh and has authored numerous publications, including Islamic Chinoiserie (2009). Her research interests range from the art of pre-modern Islamic Eurasia to the reception of Islamic art in modern times. Dr. Kadoi is the curator of the exhibition The Blue Road: Mastercrafts from Persia organised by Liang Yi Museum.
是次講座將概括本次的展覽主題–藍色，在跨文化環境下的歷史背景，引導觀眾了解展覽的策展概念，並由門井由佳博士展示及介紹部分重點展品。 門井由佳博士於英國愛丁堡大學修讀伊斯蘭藝術，並曾出版個人著作，其中包括《Islamic Chinoiserie》（2009年）。她的研究興趣橫跨前現代伊斯蘭歐亞藝術到現代伊斯蘭藝術。門井博士是《藍色之路：來自波斯的瑰麗藝術》的策展人。
